Polsstok is an offline jump log for fierljepping (canal pole vaulting). It keeps every session, jump, pole, note, planned meet and setting on your device, and only on your device. Polsstok has no account system, sends nothing to a server, and contains no advertising, analytics or tracking software of any kind.
What Polsstok stores, and where
Everything you enter — training and competition sessions, individual jumps with their distance, wind and pole, your poles and their notes, free-form session notes, planned meets, pinned glossary terms, achievements and your app settings — is written to storage local to your iPhone or iPad using Apple's on-device frameworks. None of it is uploaded, synced to a cloud service, or shared with us or with any third party. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.
Camera
Polsstok asks for camera access only when you tap "Photograph the mark" after a jump, so you can record the landing mark in the sand for your own log. The photo is saved only inside the app's local storage on your device. Polsstok does not use the camera for any other purpose and does not access the camera in the background.
Photo library
When you add a photo to one of your poles, Polsstok opens Apple's system photo picker. This picker runs outside the app and hands Polsstok only the single image you choose — the app never receives a general view of your photo library and never scans, indexes or uploads it.
Notifications
Polsstok can remind you about training evenings and about meets you have planned. It asks for notification permission only at the moment you turn on a training reminder or save a planned meet. All notifications are scheduled and delivered locally on your device; Polsstok does not use a push notification service and no notification content leaves your device.
What Polsstok does not do
- No account creation, sign-in or personal profile beyond a name you may type for yourself.
- No advertising and no ad networks.
- No analytics or usage tracking, and no tracking across other apps or websites.
- No third-party software development kits (SDKs).
- No network requests of any kind during normal use.
- No online results, rankings or data about other jumpers — every distance in the app is one you typed in yourself.
App Store data disclosure
In line with Apple's App Privacy questions, Polsstok's answer is "Data Not Collected": no data is collected from this app and transmitted off the device. The table below summarises the on-device categories the app touches, none of which leave your device:

Children's privacy
Polsstok is suitable for young jumpers with a parent's or coach's help and collects no personal data from anyone, of any age. Because nothing is transmitted off the device, there is nothing for Polsstok to collect from a child user.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, an updated version will be published at this same address with a new "last updated" date at the top of the page.
